All those wonderful scenes from my favourite movies that just kind of live on in my fevered brain...
The scene on the Moscow railway platform in Reds, when Louise Bryant, who hasn't seen her husband since their parting in New York over a year ago, is meeting the bullet-ridden train as it pulls in with the victorious revolutionaries.... But no John Reed.
Until she turns around and sees him, battered but alive, at the end of the platform, and they walk, slowly, joyfully, towards each other.
(okay, yeah, he dies in hospital the next day...)
That's my weakness. Lovers parted, lovers reunited.
